Our Promoter

At the heart of our business success lies the resilience and fortitude of one man, our founder, Dr. D.S. Babu. A graduate with distinction from Bangalore University (B.E., Electronics '70) and an M. Tech from IIT-Bombay (1973), Dr. Babu has many meritorious achievements to his credit. He was awarded the degree of Doctor of Engineering by the University of Nagoya, Japan in the year 1982. Not only excellence in educational qualifications, Dr. Babu also boasts of many corporate achievements. A brief of his career profile is as follows:

• He started his career as an Asst.  Engineer in the R&D Division of Bharat Electronics Limited, Banaglore.
• He worked with Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, Japan as an Overseas Projects Coordinator.
• He was a Senior Projects Co-coordinator with TATAS at NELCO.
• He worked with ONIDA (MIRC Electronics Limited), Bombay, as Sr. Manager (Technical).
• He worked as Chief Executive with AIMS Engineering Projects (I) Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai.

Dr. Babu also has had an experience of working as a freelance Consultant for DATAPRO-Pune, and Institute of High Technology, Bombay, and Videocon, (thro'IHT). He then rendered consultancy services to M/S Forbes-Forbes Cambell, Bombay, and towards the end of 1990, forayed into the manufacturing and selling business related to Hi-Tech Electronic Process Control Instruments by establishing Sogo Instruments.

We mainly import our selection of Sensors for pH, conductivity, ORP, etc., from established vendors in the industry. We have also forged long term alliances with several Japanese and USA companies for introducing into the Indian market products related to pollution analysis & biotech research.

Infrastructure

At Sogo Instruments, we have set up a streamlined infrastructure facility that is well structured into components for manufacturing, research and quality testing. In our well laid out manufacturing facilities, we have installed requisite machineries and tools such as routine test benches, calibrators, soak test racks, etc., These are handled and operated by efficient and well trained supervisors, technicians and operators. We have also generously invested on a research facility hoisted with latest computers, peripherals, LAN network, calibrators, oscilloscopes, simulators and facilities for type tests and routine tests. This facility is manned by expert engineers and technicians who work in unison with members in our quality team to ensure development of innovative, qualitative and cost-competitive products.
